No type of fence is 100% safe. Horses are unpredictable animals. However, some types of fence are more dangerous to horses than others. We're going to look at some photos found on the Web and decide ... safe, or unsafe?

Barbed wire, again.
Only unsafe if you consider losing an eye a bad thing.
As the owner of a one-eyed horse (cause having nothing to do with fence issues) I can tell you it is most interesting, and I wouldn't recommend it.
I believe providing the safest fence available—within our budgetary constraints—is one of the most important things we can do for our equine companions.
I welcome all comments, from those who disagree as well as those who agree. Be respectful to your fellow human.
