No type of fence is 100% safe. Horses are unpredictable animals. However, some types of fence are more dangerous to horses than others. We're going to look at some photos found on the Web and decide ... safe, or unsafe?

I believe providing the safest fence available—within our budgetary constraints—is one of the most important things we can do for our equine companions.

Recently, I observed a blog comment that claimed the author's horses were smarter than everyone else's and so it was fine for her to use barbed wire.
Her superior, brainy horses would never get near it.
